'Virtual' police meetings for Tyneside residents

People living on Tyneside can take part in a "virtual meeting" later with officers from Northumbria Police.

The force is holding a two-hour web chat for residents in Jesmond and Heaton to leave comments and ask questions about policing in their area.

The meeting will be held between 1900 and 2100 BST.

Northumbria Police online meetings were launched in the Newcastle area in February and have been "well received" by residents, officers said.
