Three men arrested in connection with the investigation into gunman Raoul Moat have had their bail extended.

The former nightclub bouncer went on the run after shooting his former girlfriend, her new partner - who died - and a police officer.

Moat, 37, shot himself in Rothbury on 10 July after a six-hour stand-off.

Three men, aged 27, 21 and 19, arrested in July on suspicion of assisting an offender, have had their bail extended until November.

Northumbria Police have so far arrested 21 people in connection with the Moat inquiry.

Two men have appeared at Newcastle Crown Court charged with conspiracy to murder and possessing a firearm with intent.
