Driver killed in Northumberland river car crash named

The car crashed through Hartburn Bridge
A man who died when his car crashed through a bridge and into a river in a Northumberland village has been named.
Douglas Scott died when his Ford Mondeo overturned in the water at Hartburn, in Morpeth, in the early hours of Sunday.
The 26-year-old, who was from the Morpeth area, was cut from the car by the emergency services and later pronounced dead at Newcastle General Hospital.
Northumbria Police is appealing for witnesses to the crash.
