Offenders who stole a car which was then involved in a series of incidents are being sought by police on Tyneside.
The green VW Golf was taken from Addycombe Terrace on Sunday evening.
A short time later it was used during the theft of a games machine from the Highlander Hotel, in Swalwell, Gateshead, by two men.
In the early hours, officers attempted to flag the vehicle down on Shafto Street, Newcastle, but it collided with three patrol cars before driving off.
No-one was injured, but the three police vehicles were damaged.
The Golf also suffered damage to its bodywork.
Anyone spotting the vehicle is warned not to approach its occupants, but to contact Northumbria Police.
