Arsonists are being blamed for a fire which gutted a derelict nightclub close to Newcastle quayside.
About a dozen firefighters tackled that blaze at the former Sterio club, which broke out late on Sunday.
Parts of City Road and Mill Market were closed for several hours as the fire was brought under control.
No-one was hurt, but police and fire investigators said arson was the likely cause. The building has been empty for several years.
