Northumberland beach death 'not suspicious'

The sudden death of a man on a beach in Northumberland is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

Officers from Northumbria Police were called to an area of Seaton Sluice, known as the Links, on Friday.

Robert Wardle of Seaton Delaval, was walking his dog when he collapsed. The 71-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Northumbria Police started an investigation and have now said the death was not suspicious.
