Teenager denies Cole Wilson stab murder

A teenager has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a 20-year-old man in County Durham.

The body of Cole Wilson, of Titan House, Newcastle, was discovered in a house at Sledmere Close, Peterlee, on 18 September 2011.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from stab wounds to the chest and the side of his head.

John Blackburn, 19, of Holywell Avenue in the Walker area of Newcastle, denied murder on Monday.

At Newcastle Crown Court he was remanded in custody ahead of a trial beginning on 20 February.
