Water restored to hundreds of County Durham homes

Water has been restored to hundreds of homes in County Durham after it was cut off due to a pressure problem.

Households in the Gilesgate and Framwellgate Moor areas were affected on Sunday.

Northumbrian Water said that water was now back on, but there might be discolouration.

People have been advised to run the kitchen cold tap for 50 minutes to clear the supply. The company has apologised for any inconvenience.
