Newcastle homeless charity Crisis gets £300,000

A homeless charity in Newcastle is to benefit from almost £300,000 from the Big Lottery Fund.

Crisis Skylight Newcastle will spend the money over three years to help single homeless and vulnerable people in Newcastle.

More than £2.7m has been awarded to projects in the region from fund's flagship Reaching Communities programme which aims to help those most in need.

A spokesperson from Crisis Skylight Newcastle said they were "thrilled".
