Northumbria Police arrest two men on suspicion of rape

Two men have been arrested after a woman was attacked and raped in a park in Northumberland.

Northumbria Police said the 37-year-old woman was attacked near the toilet block in Ridley Park in Blyth on Friday evening.

A spokesman for the Northumbria force said the two men, both aged 38, had been arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further inquiries.

He appealed for any witnesses in the area at the time to come forward.
