Fire crews tackle North Tyneside warehouse fire
Fire crews are continuing to tackle a fire at a warehouse in North Tyneside.
About 50 firefighters and 15 fire engines from Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service are still at the blaze on New York Way industrial estate.
The fire service was called to the Ramage Transport warehouse at about 08:20 BST after reports of a fire in the area.
A spokesman from the service said work was "very much ongoing" and would be for a "considerable while longer".
Fire crews are also in discussions with the local authority about the possibility of demolishing the warehouse.
Northumbria Police said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
Middle Engine Lane has now reopened.
