Arrest after South Shields 350-plant cannabis farm raid

A man has been arrested after a 350-plant cannabis farm was discovered on South Tyneside.

Police acting on a tip-off discovered the plants during a raid on a flat in Green's Place, South Shields, early on Saturday.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Northumbria Police said heating and lighting equipment was also seized in the raid.
