A 92-year-old pedestrian who died in a collision involving three vehicles in Sunderland has been named.

William Hall, of Oakfield Court in the city, was taken to hospital after the crash on Friday morning but died later in hospital.

Northumbria Police officers are carrying out inquiries to establish the exact cause of the collision in Windsor Terrace.

They appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact them.
