Family tribute to A177 road death woman

The family of a driver who died after her car left a County Durham road has paid tribute to a "fun loving" woman.

Ashleigh Quinn, suffered serious injuries when the VW Polo ended up in shrubs and undergrowth at the side of the A177 between Sedgefield and Coxhoe early on Monday.

The 26-year-old, from the Sedgefield area, later died in hospital.

Durham Police has made a further appeal for witnesses to the crash, near the former Hare and Hounds at 00:30 BST.

Ms Quinn's family said in a statement: "Ashleigh was a fun loving daughter, granddaughter and sister.

"She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and everyone who knew her."
