Daniel Oxley admits murder of Michael Outhwaite in Willington

A man has admitted murdering a man whose body was found in a County Durham field after a robbery.

Daniel Oxley pleaded guilty to the murder of Michael Outhwaite when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court.

Oxley, 22, of High Street in Willington, stabbed 42-year-old Michael Outhwaite during the robbery, the court heard.

The body of Mr Outhwaite, from Sunderland, was found in a field in Willington in September.

Sentence was adjourned until 5 January and Oxley was remanded in custody.
