Marlborough traders say business down due to roadworks
Business owners in a Wiltshire town have said trade is down by up to 40% due to roadworks.
Work to rebuild Pewsey Road bridge in Marlborough started in May and was expected to be completed in February.
One trader, who owns a jewellers, said he wanted to reduce the amount of rates he paid until things returned to normal.
A Wiltshire Council spokeswoman said she understood the frustration but the work was essential.
The bridge, which was deemed "substandard", is being strengthened to carry traffic.
The traders are due to hold a meeting later to discuss problems due to the road closure.
