Van driver dies after multiple crash on Wiltshire A350

A van driver has died after being involved in a crash in Wiltshire on Thursday.

A refuse lorry was in collision with the van and another car on the A350 between Chippenham and junction 17 of the M4 at about 0700 BST.

Gareth Jones, 26, from Calne, died at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. His passenger remains in a critical condition after undergoing surgery.

The lorry's three occupants and the car driver received minor injuries.

The A350 was closed at the scene for seven hours.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them.
