Swindon house damaged by roof fire

A Swindon house was damaged when a fire broke out in the roof.

The occupant of the property, in the Ferndale area, called emergency services reporting a fire at about 1950 BST on Saturday.

A crew arrived to find the roof ablaze. More appliances were called in, along with a fire investigation team, police and an ambulance crew.

Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was under control at about 2100 BST. No-one was injured.
