The raider fled empty-handed after staff activated an alarm
Staff at a store in Wiltshire were threatened with what is believed to be a firearm during an attempted robbery.
Police were called to Cheque Interchange in Castle Street, Trowbridge, after the alarm was activated on Thursday morning.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said although no one was injured it was a very frightening experience for the staff involved.
The suspect is white, in his 40s, 5' 7" tall, with mousy hair and a beard.
"He fled empty-handed after staff activated an alarm.
"Anyone who witnessed the robbery, which happened at about 11am, is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers," the police spokesman added.
