Swindon men questioned about illegal money lending

Two Swindon men have been arrested on suspicion of illegal money lending.

Harjinder Sandhu, 55, of Hampton, near Highworth, and his son Tony, were both arrested at Marshgate Garage on Tuesday.

An estimated £200,000 in cash was recovered in a raid on two properties by the South West Illegal Money Lending Team, which is led by Bristol City Council.

The men are being questioned under the Consumer Credit Act.
