Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with a bank robbery in Swindon.

The incident happened at Lloyd's TSB on Cricklade Road in the Gorse Hill area on 9 December at about 1000 GMT.

Staff handed over cash after being threatened by a man who claimed to have a weapon. He then left the bank and was seen heading towards the town centre.

He is described as white, between 30 to 40-years-old, about 5ft 8in (1.72m) tall with dark hair.

Witnesses said he was "scruffy" and he was thought to be wearing a grey and black hooded top and carrying a black holdall bag.

Officers said they were very keen to identify the man pictured in the CCTV and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
