Trowbridge firm given grant for rapid detection research

A Trowbridge company has been awarded £90,000 for research into the rapid detection of sexually transmitted diseases.

The research aims to avoid the need for a patient to return to the diagnostic centre.

Atlas was given the grant by the South West RDA (Regional Development Agency).

John Clarkson, the company's chief executive, said the research would not have gone ahead without the grant.
