Arrest made after Swindon town centre stabbing

A 35-year-old man has been arrested after a man was stabbed in Swindon at the weekend.

Officers were called to East Street at about 1720 GMT on Saturday following reports of the attack.

A police spokesman said the suspect is being questioned on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The 32-year-old victim remains in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Police are appealing for witnesses.
