Firefighters have been tackling a large blaze at a waste disposal site in Wiltshire.

The fire broke out in about 750 tonnes of commercial and industrial refuse at Hills Waste in Chapel Farm, Blunsdon, just after 1400 BST on Thursday.

Fire chiefs said the incident had "created arduous conditions for firefighters, due to the large quantity of smoke being produced".

The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.

Seven appliances, two water carriers and a mechanical digger were used in the firefighting operation.
