Chippenham bridge fall teenager breaks neck

Two teenagers were taken to hospital after falling backwards from a bridge into a stream in Chippenham.

An 18-year-old man suffered a broken neck and a 16-year-old girl had a suspected broken leg after falling almost 20ft (6m).

The incident happened on Woodlands Road, opposite the football ground, just before 2300 BST on Sunday.

They were taken to Royal United Hospital, Bath, before the man was transferred to Frenchay Hospital.
