Swindon College makes 11 teaching staff redundant

Eleven people are to lose their jobs at Swindon College in Wiltshire.

The decision follows a consultation in June with 16 teaching staff over possible redundancies after government funding cuts.

The college said that eight of the redundancies would be compulsory while three were voluntary redundancies.

A second phase of savings involving business support and management support staff will take place in September, with changes complete by October.
