Train services near Swindon resume after signal failure

Normal service has resumed after an earlier signal failure near Swindon caused a "substantial" number of train delays.

Train operator First Great Western said most services from Wales and Bristol towards London were affected.

The train company said although the problem had been fixed by 15:30 GMT there could be "slight delays" to some train services.

Rail passengers have been advised to check before travelling.
