An investigation into a fire at a Grade II listed building in Wiltshire on Friday is under way.

Crews were called to Luckington Manor, near Malmesbury, at 13:16 BST after a fire in a bedroom spread to other parts of the building.

Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said about a third of the 17th Century manor house had been affected by the blaze.

At its height, four fire engines, an incident command vehicle and about 55 firefighters were in attendance.

A spokesman for the fire service said the initial investigation would start on Saturday, although parts of the building remain unsafe which could limit how much work could be done.

Firefighters are to remain at the scene while the investigation is under way.
