Wiltshire soldiers receive Operation Herrick medals
Nearly 200 soldiers based at Larkhill, Wiltshire, have been presented with medals after serving in Afghanistan.
The soldiers from 22 Gibraltar Battery, part of 32 Regiment Royal Artillery, returned from Helmand province last month.
Their task was to fly the unmanned aircraft, which delivers live video to ground units in Helmand.
The men received their Operation Herrick medals at Roberts Barracks from the Mayor of Salisbury John Collier.
Presenting the medals, Mr Collier paid tribute to the soldiers' families who he said were the "unsung heroes - that have held things together back home awaiting the return of loved ones".
