Swindon to Kemble trains stopped by line side fire

Trains between Swindon and Kemble are not running after a fire was reported by the side of the track.

A spokesman for First Great Western said passengers were being taken back to the nearest station and offered bottled water.

Coaches are being sought to take passengers to their destinations as quickly as possible.

Cross Country trains are carrying people between Bristol Parkway and Cheltenham, the spokesman said.

Passengers have been told their First Great Western tickets are being accepted on alternative services.
