Trowbridge milk thief pays £200 as apology to nursery
A remorseful milk thief who was caught stealing from a nursery in Wiltshire has donated £200 by way of an apology.
The Trowbridge man, aged in his mid-forties, was arrested after being caught stealing by officers outside the nursery at 06:30 BST.
Wiltshire Police said the man denied knowing his actions were affecting small children and "he felt terrible".
The donation to the nursery was agreed between its staff and the police and the matter was resolved.
A police spokesperson said: "His arrest follows a number of reports in recent weeks of milk having gone missing from the nursery's twice weekly deliveries."
