Wiltshire drivers warned of year-long roadworks

Drivers have been warned that major roadworks starting in Wiltshire will take nearly a year to complete.

The work to dual part of the A350 at Chippenham which begins on 28 April is costing £2.7m.

During the construction phase there will be a 30mph limit on the road and a series of overnight closures.

Wiltshire Council said the work will cause disruption, but the improved road will cut journey times and ease congestion in the area.

The authority said it expects the work to be completed by early 2015.
