Man charged over Swindon cyclist murder and second stabbing

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a cyclist and attempted murder of a woman on a path in Swindon.

Aulton Thomas Rogers, 60, was found with multiple stab wounds on a path which runs from the town centre to the Rodbourne area, late on Thursday.

Police said that on 8 May, Leanne James, 24, from Swindon, had been stabbed on the same path.

Jason Voong, from Swindon, has been charged with Mr Rogers's murder and the attempted murder of Ms James.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Chippenham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
