Wiltshire twins' knife attacker sought by police

A man who attacked twin brothers with a knife, leaving one of them "just a couple of millimetres from death", is being sought by Wiltshire Police.

The 16-year-olds were attacked after a party at Dilton Marsh, near Westbury, at about 23:00 GMT on Saturday.

One brother was taken to hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition. The other received cuts to his hands, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the attack is asked to contact officers.

Det Insp Paul Franklin, said it had been an "extremely serious assault" with a "very sharp blade".

"One of the brothers was slashed across the chest and is lucky to be alive because the knife wound was so deep it was close to his heart," he said.

The attacker is described as being aged between 20 and 30, 5ft 8in (1.72m) tall, with short black hair.
