Scooter rider Alexander Snook, 20, named as A350 crash victim

A 20-year-old man who died when his scooter was involved in a head-on collision with a van has been named.

Alexander Snook, from Mere, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A350 at Longbridge Deverill on Saturday.

Police said Mr Snook was following a blue car when he lost control and collided with the Transit van.

A force spokeswoman said the car driver failed to stop at the scene and police are urgently seeking the driver.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, which happened at 16:15 GMT, is asked to contact Wiltshire Police.
