'Human bones' discovered on North Yorkshire farm
- Published
An investigation is under way after what police believe are human bones were found on a North Yorkshire farm.
They were found on Arrow Mushrooms Gateforth Farm near Selby by fire crews clearing up after a blaze had destroyed derelict buildings there on Thursday.
Police said the bones appeared to be human and may possibly date back to medieval times.
Insp Vicky Taylor said the scene had been cordoned off and an examination of the remains would take place.
She said: "We've got a scene guard on location until such time we can confirm they are human bones and that there is nothing suspicious or untowards."
