Views sought over York eco-homes
- Published
York residents are being asked for their views on plans for a new eco-friendly housing development proposed for the city.
City of York Council wants to build about 1,300 new homes on the former British Sugar and Manor School sites in the Acomb area.
The houses would have high levels of insulation and special heat pumps to cut fuel bills.
The public is now being invited to submit thoughts on the project.
Details of the plans can be found on the City of York Council website.
A planning application for the proposal is likely to be submitted in 2011.
