The brother of a teenager who died in a car crash is running a marathon on Christmas Day in his memory.
Dean Tempest's 16-year-old brother Michael was killed along with two friends in the crash near Wetherby, West Yorkshire, in December 2006.
Mr Tempest will run from Wetherby to Boroughbridge and back to raise money for Martin House Children's Hospice.
He said: "Christmas is just a different time of year for us now so I just wanted to do something different."
The teenager was killed along with friends Oliver Cross and Thomas Dunn in the crash on the A58 on 8 December.
The car driver, James Trotman, 17, suffered serious injuries but survived.
A verdict of accidental death was recorded at an inquest in 2008.
Mr Tempest said: "It changes everything... it just completely shakes everything up.
"I don't think Michael would have wanted us moping around so I wanted to get out and do something good."
