A lorry driver has been arrested after a crash with a van in Selby that left the van driver seriously injured.
The 60-year-old man driving the Fiat van was airlifted to hospital after the collision on the A19, at the junction with the A163, at 1330 GMT on Tuesday.
The driver of the 44-tonne Spanish-registered HGV, a 50-year-old Bulgarian man, suffered minor injuries and was arrested.
The Barlby road was closed for about four hours.
The van driver remains in York District Hospital in a serious but stable condition, police said.
