Hull police seize drugs and £30,000 from homes

Drugs and more than £30,000 was seized by police in raids on three houses in Hull.

Police acted on information from local people linking the houses in Beckside Close with drug activity.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and five others on suspicion of money laundering in the raids on Wednesday.

Police recovered a quantity of what they believe to be cannabis and amphetamines.

A financial investigation is under way into assets owned by the same people that may have been obtained as a result of crime, police said.

Sgt Mick Stevenson added: "This is part of our continued drive to deal with those dealing drugs across the city."
