Driver charged over fatal road crash

A 32-year-old man from Dewsbury has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a motorcyclist died in a crash in North Yorkshire.

Stephen Summers, 55, of Keighley, West Yorkshire, died in hospital four hours after the collision on the A59 near Broughton village on 8 November.

Police said the crash happened between Broughton Hall and the A59/A56 junction at about 0515 GMT.

The 32-year-old is due to appear at Skipton Magistrates' Court on 8 April.
