Flood warnings follow heavy rain in North Yorkshire

Flood warnings have been issued for North Yorkshire after heavy rain.

The Environment Agency said river levels were rising and were expected to continue to rise with more rain forecast overnight.

The agency said warnings were in place for the River Ure at Roecliffe Caravan Park near Boroughbridge and the River Nidd at Hunsingore and Cattal.

A warning is also in place for Eller Beck at Skipton. The agency said it was continuing to monitor river levels.

A flood alert, the lowest level of warning, is in place for the River Ouse in York.
