York played host to a steam festival and a fly-past during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Railfest event at the National Railway Museum featured more than 30 locomotives and a fly-past by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Skipton is expecting 10,000 people to attend a street party on Sunday.

There will be a funfair, stalls and a large screen showing coverage of the pageant on the River Thames in London.

About 100 neighbourhoods across the county are expected to celebrate with a street party.

On Monday, Scarborough castle will be illuminated in a laser show with images of the Queen projected on to its walls.
