Two walk away from Sherburn aircraft crash

Two men walked away from a light aircraft that crash-landed on a small hill at a flying club airfield in North Yorkshire.

Fire and rescue crews were called to Sherburn Aero Club at Sherburn-in-Elmet on Saturday afternoon.

The Piper Arrow aircraft is believed to have suffered engine failure, the fire service said.

Paramedics checked the men, who had climbed out of the crashed plane, but they did not need hospital treatment.
