Moped rider, 21, killed in A64 crash at West Knapton

A 21-year-old man has died after his moped collided with a people carrier in North Yorkshire.

The local man was airlifted to James Cook Hospital where he died, following the crash on the A64 at West Knapton, near the junction with the B1258.

North Yorkshire Police is trying to trace the driver of a car which was travelling behind the moped before turning off towards Yedingham.

The crash happened at 07:50 GMT on Tuesday.
