A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man aged in his 80s was found dead at a care home.

Police were called to Sowerby House care home in Sowerby, Thirsk at around 15:20 GMT on Wednesday, 11 February.

Investigators believe the man's injuries are "non-accidental".

The woman, who is aged in her 50s and from Thirsk, does not work at the care home and is currently being held in police custody for questioning.
