Six charged over cash van robbery

Six men have been charged with offences including armed robbery and handling stolen goods.

It follows the robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Lisburn on Thursday.

The driver of the van was approached on Belsize Road by a man carrying a knife who forced him to hand over a cash box. The man with the knife then got into a car and made off.

The men who have been charged are expected to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court later on Saturday.
