Teen remanded over Twelfth riots

A teenager has appeared in court accused of throwing a petrol bomb at police during Twelfth of July riots.

Patrick Ward, 19, from Rosehead Drive in Belfast, who appeared at the city's Magistrates Court on Saturday, was also charged with riotous behaviour at the Oldpark Road.

The police told the court they objected to bail amid fears that Mr Ward would reoffend.

He was remanded into custody to appear again on 20 August.
