Armed robbery in Crossgar shop

Police have appealed for information after an armed robbery at a shop in Crossgar on Tuesday morning.

Two masked men, one believed to have been carrying a gun, made off with cash from the shop in Downpatrick Street at about 0745 BST.

A blue BMW believed to have been used by the thieves was parked a short distance away in Killyleagh Street.

After the robbery, they ran along Downpatrick Street, to the car which made off at speed

The first man is described as being in his late 20s, 5ft 6ins, of stocky build and was wearing dark coloured track bottoms and a dark coloured, hooded rain coat.

The second man is described as being approximately 5ft 8ins, of slim build, wearing dark coloured jacket and light coloured bottoms.
