Antrim-based construction firm Mivan has secured a £90m contract to help build a commercial and residential complex in Egypt.
The project in Cairo is one of Mivan's largest ever contracts and its first foray into the north African country.
It was contracted by Al Futtaim Real Estate, having recently worked for the client on the same Festival City site.
The contract involves the construction of two office blocks, 10 apartment blocks and three retail units.
It also includes excavation and ground improvement, block work, and the fitting-out of apartments and offices.
The project is expected to be completed in August 2013.
Mivan acting chief executive Mervyn McCall said the Festival City project in Cairo was an impressive masterplan for the region.
"Egypt and Cairo in particular is going through a series of exciting changes and Mivan is pleased to be involved with its development.
"This series of contracts also marks our first project with Al Futtaim, which is a global player in the construction sector."
